Lollipop Marching Group is sponsoring a Christmas Parade Saturday, December 9, 4:00 in Downtown Covington.

Covington and other St. Tammany Parish residents are invited to participate in the parade.  There will be 2 categories of Santa's Helpers - Walkers and Riders.

All helpers must have a Christmas Theme attire, Vehicle decoration is a plus.  If you are playing music, it must be family appropriate and Christmas themed as well.  Anyone displaying items, decorations, clothing, throws that are deemed inappropriate will not participate in the parade.  People acting in a manner not conducive to the Christmas Parade will not participate.

No Corporations/Businesses can advertise while walking in the parade or on have advertisement on their vehicles unless you are one of our Advertisers.  If you would like to advertise in the parade, please contact us for information (marchwithlollipops@gmail.com)

Walkers are organizations or families.  Walkers with young children under the age of 12 must have parent/guardian supervision.  Vehicles are golf carts, dune buggies, antique vehicles, convertibles, jeeps, etc.  Again,  please decorate with a Christmas theme.  Music, if played, must be Christmas themed and family appropriate.  You are encouraged to throw items to the spectators.  You are allowed to carry a banner displaying your organization's name.

Anyone not abiding by the intention of the parade will be asked to leave.  Alcohol and the use of illegal drugs are not allowed before and/or during the parade. Smoking/vaping is not allowed during your parade participation.

Parade Route:  Start at Jefferson at the Courthouse and turn right on Columbia.  Turn right on Gibson, then turn right at New Hampshire, left on N. Theard, right on W. 23rd, right on Jefferson.  We disband at the parking lot where the parade started.   Do NOT stop at the Trail Head.  You must continue to the end of the route to give people behind you and Santa room to parade

We will ride rain or shine.  Come dressed for the occasion.

Animals are  not allowed in the parade.

Line Up: 2:30 at the Justice Center Parking lot next to the parking garage.

Parade Assignments will be sent prior to the parade date.  Parade marshals (Lollipop dancers and Candymakers) will be available for assistance.
